Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this website. This page says what we aim for, what we have done, and what is not finished.

Our goal
Dilly aims for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is a goal, not a certification. No outside group has certified this website, and we do not say it fully meets the guidelines.
This page is about the Dilly website. The Dilly app is still in testing and has its own accessibility work in progress. The help center has had the same automated checks and a keyboard review, but, like this website, it has not been tested with a screen reader.
What we have done
- You can use every page with a keyboard alone. A "Skip to the content" link is the first stop on each page, and the place you are on is always outlined.
- The menu and the window that explains why Dilly has no AI close with the Escape key, keep your place while open, and give it back when closed.
- We checked the colors of text, buttons, form fields and outlines against the WCAG contrast numbers, and changed the ones that were too faint.
- Pages work at 400 percent browser zoom (a 320 pixel wide screen) without sideways scrolling, and keep working when line, letter and word spacing are widened.
- If your device asks for less motion, nothing slides, fades or animates. Nothing on this site flashes, plays by itself or has a time limit.
- Pictures that tell you something have a text description. Pictures that only decorate are hidden from screen readers.
- Every form field has a visible label. Errors are written in words, tied to the field, and announced. Fields that fill in your name, phone and email can be filled in for you by your browser.
- Pages have a clear title, one main heading, headings in order, and labeled areas. The language is set to English.
- There is no sign-in on this website and no puzzle or code to solve.
What we have checked
We checked every page of this website in these ways: an automated checker (axe-core) at a phone width and a desktop width, including the open menu, the "no AI" window, the waitlist form with errors showing, and the companion buttons. By hand, we went through each page with only a keyboard, at 400 percent zoom, with widened text spacing, and with reduced motion turned on. We tested in Chrome.
We have not yet tested with a screen reader. Testing with VoiceOver on iPhone and Mac is planned, and we will test with people who use assistive technology. Until then, we cannot say how the site sounds in a screen reader. We also have not tested in Safari or Firefox, or on real phones and tablets.
What is not finished
- The pictures of phone screens on the How it works and Workshop pages are drawn on the web page from the real app. A screen reader reads each one as a single group with a short label and its text. They are illustrations, not working screens. The small clock in the corner of the orange streak screen is lighter than the contrast guideline asks for. It is decoration and is hidden from screen readers.
- The yellow quoted word in the headings has dark letters around its edge. Automated checkers cannot measure that kind of lettering, so we rely on the dark outline, which has a very strong contrast.
- Text sizes are set in pixels. Browser zoom works. A browser setting that enlarges only text will not change them.
- When you buy a plan, you pay on a page that Stripe runs. We do not control its accessibility.
- The Dilly app is still in testing, and its accessibility work is in progress. The help center has had the same automated checks and a keyboard review, but, like this website, it has not been tested with a screen reader.
